Go Pro launches “The Remote” from which we could control 5 cameras at once

Go Pro has launched a wireless remote to the market alongside some of the firmware updates which could well improve the performance of devices like Hero 9 Black, Hero 8 Black and Max cameras. The key-fob sized device with a hard surface is waterproof up to 16 feet and is referred to as “The Remote”. This device is capable of controlling features like power, modes and etc. and it comes with big buttons which could be easily pressed with gloves on and a display of black and white. The main highlight of this remote is, it’s capability to control 5 cameras at once.

It could be attached on your wrist, handlebars or steering wheels, and assist you to remotely operate GoPro’s Hero 9 Black, Hero 8 Black or Max cameras when they are inside 200 feet of radius. . The brand new remote replaces the smart remote, which is nevertheless is available on GoPro’s website for versions of cameras launched before Hero 5.

When you update these firmware on your cameras, you would be able to operate them with “The Remote”. Currently you can buy this recently launched “Remote” for $80 from GoPro’s site in North America. No worries, as the company has promised that they will make “The Remote” available for rest of the regions starting from February 2021.
