The 4th member of Samsung’s ear bud family is coming soon: revealed by a major leak

At the present Samsung has 3 models of their “Galaxy Buds” earphones in the market. They are Buds, Buds+ and Buds Live. Out of the 3, the first one which had a noise cancellation technique (ANC) embedded within is Buds Live. It was heavily rumored that the 4th member of the earbud family is on its way. This was further confirmed by a leak from Samsung’s Galaxy Store. According to the details which were leaked, the latest earbud would consist of improved passive noise cancellation and a newly introduced feature which goes by the name 3D spatial audio. Interestingly this feature resembles the feature of Apple’s AirPods which has the same name. The 4th model is named Buds Pro. The soft in-ear tips of the latest model resemble Buds + and from its shape it looks like a combination of Buds+ and Buds Live. The leaks further suggest that the earbuds are planned to be launched in black, white, and purple colors.

Everyone is excited to witness how the 3D spatial audio feature is. But unfortunately, it only supports the Samsung devices with android 11 running on them. This changes the direction of where the audio is coming from depending on the direction of your head and where the phone is. Hence we can say that it simulates a surround sound system. This description reminds us of Apple’s spatial audio which was introduced a few months back which utilizes an accelerometer in the earbuds which enables us to alter the sound based on where your head is.

“Voice detects” is one more new feature in Buds Pro from which you could reduce the media volume. And also it allows the audio to pass through while you are speaking. As an assistant for the users with hearing aids, Samsung has added a left/right sound balance in Buds Pro. Some other key features of this soon to be launched earbud are ANC with ambient sound options, notification reading, an option of “Find my Earbuds” and the touch controls which could be customized.
