The first electric vehicle of Toyota would be out by 2022

Two months ago in February Toyota announced that they are going to introduce three electric vehicles to the US market by the end of the year. They went on to say that two of those would be fully electric while one would be a plugin-in hybrid vehicle. Now Toyota has revealed a broader EV vision, and under that, they are attempting to be carbon neutral by 2050.  The automaker claims that their motive is to sell around 70 diverse electric cars by the end of 2025 and that estimated count includes 15 new models which are fully electric.

About half of those models would fall under Toyota’s latest brand “Beyond Zero. “. The process was initiated with the unveiling of the bZ4X SUV Toyota. As of now, this vehicle is only a concept, but Toyota plans to make the car available for purchasing as soon as possible. The production is expected to shoot in China and Japan. Toyota expects to start selling bZ4X by mid-2022.

The automaker did not reveal much more about bZ4X, but we are aware that the development would take place in collaboration with Subaru and would feature an all-wheel drive. It would make use of Toyota’s new battery-electric e-TNGA powertrain. For a roomy interior, there would be a long-wheelbase frame. Aside from bZ4X and other cars from Beyond Zero-brand Toyota is planning to electrify their pickup trucks as well. That initiative would be followed by other renowned truck makers such as Ford too.

The cost of this model and the number of trim levels have not been revealed yet by Toyota. But the starting price is expected to be $30,000-range with loaded models touching the $40,000 mark.

By looking at the photos released, we could tell that this model is offering a much more futuristic dashboard design when compared with the company’s other models.
