ZenBeam Latte : ASUS’s coffee cup-sized portable projector

Many home projectors are large or modest devices, but ASUS wants to offer something more special. It has just introduced a ZenBeam Latte projector whose coffee cup-like. Its fabric-covered body makes it both highly compactable and easy to handle. You can take it from room to room without any trouble. The design has improved sound transmission as well. That feature might be useful as it could be used as a Harmon Kardon-powered 10W Bluetooth speaker.

ZenBeam Latte projector comes with a prediction range of 40 – 120 inches and a “300-LED-lumens” brightness, so it’s clear that this is not the most powerful projector available. The battery life lasts for 3 hours and hence it is obvious that you won’t be able to watch the extended edition of Lord of the Rings collection. The Aptoide TV store allows you to access streaming apps. There are more than 2500 platforms for you to select from including YouTube, Amazon Prime, Hulu, Netflix and etc. In case you would want to play, there are games available as well. You can mirror your smartphone screen to play your videos.

There is a fabric mesh over the outer shell. According to Asus, this is helpful in heat dissipation and it plays an important role in improving the tactile experience resulting in a much better sound penetration. The home to physical controls is the upper face with the projector’s eye at the top.

This product would be available in North America by the second quarter of 2021. But the price is not disclosed yet. Would this caffeine-inspired design be beneficial and does it have an edge over other mini projectors? We will have to wait and see. But definitely, it is different from what is in the market currently. The speaker functionality is a feature worth looking forward to.
